A doctor who understands both worlds.
About Maison Medica
Maison Medica was founded by Dr. Nithya Nahappan — a private GP with 17 years of international clinical experience and a deep understanding of what international families need.
"Navigating, sometimes battling the healthcare system for my own children was hard enough - and I'm a doctor who has worked in the NHS. I set out to make it easier for overseas families."
A doctor who understands
both worlds
"I saw the same story repeatedly: families who had chosen a great school or university, prepared their child for life in England — but had no trusted medical presence when something happened. The medical centres on offer were stretched. The NHS was unfamiliar. And the parents were on the other side of the world."

Private GP for International Families
Dr. Nithya Nahappan is a private GP with over 17 years of clinical experience across the UK, Ireland and Singapore. Having worked with international families throughout her career — British, European, Singaporean, Malaysian, Indian, Chinese, Australian and Brazilian — she understands first-hand the cultural nuances and unique pressures that come with a child living abroad.

Maison Medica bridges the gap — built on the belief that international students deserve a personal medical team that knows them, understands their family's expectations of care and is ready before they ever need it.

A team that understands international families
Our doctors
Every doctor at Maison Medica has experience working with international students and overseas families. Whoever your child sees, they'll be understood.
We are a small, carefully chosen team — selected not just for clinical excellence, but for their understanding of what it means to be far from home, navigating an unfamiliar system.

What we believe about care.
Our values
What we believe
about care.
01
Preparation over reaction
The best care is organised before it's needed. We invest in getting to know your child so that when something happens, we're not starting from scratch.
02
Culturally aware, always
Every family has different expectations of care. We take the time to understand yours — and never assume the English default is right.
03
Coordinated, not fragmented
We liaise with schools, universities, specialists and the NHS so nothing falls between the gaps. One team, fully joined up.
04
Parents in the loop
Distance shouldn't mean disconnection. We communicate clearly, regularly, and in a way that works for your time zone and your family.
